I am new to art journalling but by no means less enthusiastic than seasoned art journalist. I am eagar to try new techniques. I made a junk journal for myself and decided I was going to fill it with my favorite things. It is turning more into an art journal. Today I received my copy in the mail of Claudine Hellmuths ‘Collage Discovery Workshop’. I cannot wait to dig in and try some new things. My journal will be the perfect place to experiment.
Today I thought I would share some pages from my journal. I wish I could put a pic in the post and then write a sentence about it but I do not have internet access at home so I do all my posts from my phone. The app to WordPress only allows the pics to be added to the top of the post. I will still write about each page it just won’t be directly below the pic.
The first is one of my very first ATC’s. I love this one. The colors and image along with the metal remind me of steampunk.
The second is a tribute to my love of vintage ladies. I used some of my favorite pics and lace.
The third is inspired by Tim Holtz. I love that man and his talent! I used his papers, stamps and dolly.
Next, I used a beautiful photo of my baby boy when he was a month old. He just turned one two months ago. Time flies, sadly. I love the subtle use of ‘worn lipstick’ distress ink throughout this page.
I mentioned in the previous post my love for Asian culture. I made this page with those thoughts in mind. Remember, this is a book of everything I love most!
Well, that is it for today. I have another small project I will share tomorrow. My cell battery is about on empty.
I would love to hear from any of my readers. It is so encouraging to read your comments. Please Feel free to leave a comment and a link to your blog so I can check your art work out. I love finding new inspiration from wherever I can. Thanks for stopping by.
