I finally dug into my oldest pack of Graphic 45 papers. This beautiful collection is full of maps, Latin, Ladies and amazing floral patterns.

I started off with a beautiful green damask background and then tore, distressed and sewed the burgundy paper. I added several paper embellishments from the collection and spruced them up with glitter, lace and stitching. I gave the lady a pearl and jewel necklace to match her glittered little crown. The flower was made from the tattered floral die and glimmer misted and stamped with a french script. I blinged the center with some Teresa Collins blingage. The hot air balloon is a 7 Gypsies stamp. I put is on pop dots and distressed it as well as everything else in Walnut stain.

I am amazed at how easy it is to clutter up a tiny sheet of paper but that seems to be the trend, right? The more layers, the better. Well, I hope you enjoyed this post. I love all your comments so please leave one and let me know what you think. Have a fantastic day!

Vintage ATC

I am enjoying working with such small areas. These ATC’s could bceome addicting.  This ATC was made using a free collage sheet from Ceremony-Share.  It included a lot of fun elements and I have enough left over to make another ATC.

The Background was stamped with a French script. A Tim Holtz mask was used with riptide glimmer mist on the right side. I finished it off with some Prima ribbon, a paper rose with glitter glue, a button and a glass pebble.

Sneak Peek

I have been busy working on a challenging project as of late so I have not had anything to post. Here are a few pics of a couple of details. It is a handmade shadow box using Graphic 45’s Renaissance Faire. I usually do no go outside my comfort zone when it comes to projects. This one has been so fun. I am waiting  on a few more products to finish it up and then I will post completed pics. Until then enjoy the sneak peek.

I felt like I accomplished a lot in the two days that I have had to scrapbook since my son’s recuperation. Did I mention that my 8 month old came down with diarrhea and a very high fever this evening? I wonder if this sickness will ever pass. I have found that with the more people in your family, the longer the bug seems to stay around.

I cannot tell you how happy I was to get back to the scrap table. I just purchased several new items and it was so fun to finally be able to play with them. I finally bought my first nestabilities die and I LOVE it. I also bought a few sheets of stamps from the amazing Oxford Impressions. I love the images but not so much with my ink. I’ll probably have to go ink pad shopping. Not as fun as paper or embellishments but an essential tool.

I made this recipe card for a friend using my Nestabillities die and a few stamps from Afternoon Tea. I added some Prima lace and a few flowers. The recipe is on the backside.

We went away last weekend to my parents house to celebrate my oldest son’s birthday and he came home sick. I believe it all started with a trip to McDonald’s…

We spent two days and a night in the hospital when my son became severely dehydrated. My little man spent his third birthday in the ER and had to get an IV in his arm. Poor Baby! After cleaning up vomit  and diarrhea for 5 days straight I am exhausted but PRAISE THE LORD he is better and home!! We had so many people praying and I know without a doubt that prayer works! I am so blessed to have a Jesus that I can depend on to get me through tough circumstances. Lets just say that as a mommy, I worry about my babies. What mommy does not? Here is  a  picture of the little guy in his trendy hospital attire. After the nurse put the IV in his arm he said ” She gave me a boo boo.” So sad, but so cute.

Asian Greetings

I love Asian themed decor and items. I received this stamp from a friend and have been dying to use it. I used red, black and white as the theme. I started off by using paper from the DCWV Far East as my background. I stamped the image on watercolor paper and painted with my watercolors. I paper pieced the lantern at the top of the card. I chose a circular shape because I am a bit bored with the rectangle. I handmade some red roses and made my version of a white cherry blossom. I embossed the ‘postcard’ on  plain black cardstock with a metallic underlay.

I made this one fairly simple but with a hint of elegance. Hope you enjoy!

Lady ATC

Yeah! I finally made my first ATC. It was so much fun cluttering up a tiny piece of paper with as many flowers, metal and stamps as I could. I was conservative because it was my first. I am growing fond of trying new things. So, for those of you who do not know, ATC stands for Artist Trading Card. The dimensions are a small 2.5 in X 3.5in.

I started off by embossing my paper with the ‘patchwork’ folder by Tim Holtz. I then distressed like crazy in four colors of distress ink. I glimmer misted in ‘Riptide’ and then distressed some more. I used a bit of ‘tattered rose’ crackle paint in the bottom left corner and then distressed over that. I stamped a Paris luggage tag in the background.  I put glitter around the edges, used some brown prima lace, I am roses cherry blossoms, a metal flower, a memo pin, an adadge ticket, bling, and pearls. The fleur-de-lis in the middle I stamped, embossed and used some perfect pearls and then set it on pop dots. The beautiful image is most likely from Graphics Fairy. Thanks for stopping by!
