I have a lot of pictures to share today so grab a cup of tea and sit back. I started off using the Miss Moxie Matchbook Kit fromRed Rubber Designs. I used a ton of different stamps so I will do my best to list them all at the end of the post. I altered my kit, slightly. As you know, I have an addiction to paints, sprays, embossing, texture paste…all that fun stuff. You can check out the kit online to see exactly what the papers look like. Alright, on to the pics.

The last picture is of the back of the album. I used paints, sprays and embossing. I hope you like this mini. The kit makes it so much faster to put together a mini. It leaves more time for decorating! Well, thats it for me today.

Welcome! It’s August and that means Christmas over at Red Rubber Designs. I love this holiday! And this gives me a chance to get a head start on my projects. You can play along as well and get those cards, presents and ornaments made before the mad rush of the holidays.

Contest Details:
It looks like one of Santa’s elves has been causing a little mischief in the workshops and craft areas of our Design Team members. Look closely at each project on the hop and you will see that said elf has left a little image of his jolly employer on one of the Design Team member’s creation. Find the picture of Santa then let us know where you found it (whose blog). Email your name and the name of the blog where you found the picture of Santa to contest@RedRubberDesigns.com . Every correct answer will be entered into a random draw for the Spotlight Stamp Holiday Wreath. Contest ends Sunday, August 5 at midnight (CDT). Good luck.
My Project for the hop is a Christmas Mini Album. I will fill the pages after Christmas but I have completed the covers. Our featured stamp for the blog hop is the Holiday Wreaths. I am a non-traditional kind of girl when it comes to colors. I love turquoise as you already know so why can’t I use it for my fav holiday?!! I silver embossed my bottom layer, gold embossed the stars on acetate and added some gold embossed berries and beautiful ribbon. I used background paper and paint sprays with a stencil and stamp for my background.

Hey Everyone!
Today I am sharing the inside pages of the mini album I made for my RRD tutorial from last week. So head over to their blog to check out how I put this pretty little book together. This kit is full of beautiful papers. The paper pack to match the kit is Amberley Grace. This kit is really cheap and includes embellies that I have also used as journaling spots so go have a look.
I am not going to detail everything I did so if you have questions please leave me a comment. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the pics.

Lots of pictures… but I wanted to show you this mini before I decided to fill it with pictures. I made this mini for a friend from college. I want to fill it with pictures of her precious baby girl who is 6 months old and still in the NICU. I understand how difficult this time is for her not being able to bring her baby home as we dealt with the same situation with our first son! It is such an emotional time and I wanted her to have pictures and some places to journal.
I used the Graphic 45 line ‘Once Upon A Springtime.’ Perfect for a baby mini. I used the paper collection and my Spellbinders dies to embellish. Thank you for looking! Hope you had a enjoyable Cyber Monday and that you didn’t spend too much money!

I finally got around to completing our vacation mini from this summer. I have been dying to use these beautiful papers by Graphic 45. My goal was to use the paper collection as the embellishments. I decided to make tags, pockets, flip outs and mini books to house pictures so that the paper would remain the focus. I used stamps, laces and trinkets from our trip as extra embelishments.
Do you see that awesome crab leg I used? I picked that up on the beach. The joints still work. The colors were beautiful from the salt water but after it dried out the colors softened.
Enjoy the pics. Thank you for stopping by this gorgeous, fall Monday!

I recently moved my scrap room from an overflowing corner of a room to my own very small room! I am estatic to have my own space. It is nice to be able to leave my table in the middle of a project and just close the door. I am in the middle of cleaning and I found a lot of embellishments still in their packaging. I tend to hoard the pretty things so since I am short on space I had to condense.
I remember seeing a YT video using Prima packaging to make a mini album by Steffogal. I took the packaging that I had been saving plus the new stuff that I dismembered from its embellies and set to work with my scrap bin.
I used some of my favorite embellies that I have been saving. I also tried to use some of the many flowers that I bought on clearance. Enjoy looking at all the pictures. Can you believe that I still have left over packaging? I think I have enough for another mini. Stay tuned!

My baby boy just turned one! Well, back in June he turned one. Time flies so fast and I hate it! Perhaps it is more bittersweet than anything. I love the growing independence that comes with age. Unfortunatly, all those wonderful baby traits and features disappear. All this change is part of life. I try to make these mini’s of my boys as often as possible to refresh my memory of my most treasured occasions. Oh how I love my little monsters!
Landon’s first birthday was small. We just had my wonderful in laws over for the weekend. You know how it is. The first is mostly for the parents. The kids are really too young at that age to understand what is going on. But thats ok. We need a little something to help us get past that crushing reality that we no longer have babies. So, here are some pics of my mini!
I used light weight chipboard for the pages. The paper line is Oliver by Basic Gray. I used a Tim Holtz fragment charm for the clock on the binding along with some Cosmo Cricket and Prima ribbon throughout. The rest is just a bunch of scraps and embellies from my stash.
I hope you enjoy. Remember to make time to scrap your precious little ones. Those are the projects that will always bring joy no matter how old you are.
Happy Monday!
Kate

Don’t you just love Websters Pages prints? These papers just take you back on time. I have such a difficult time working with their papers because I do not want to cover them up. This beautiful collection, Wonderfall, has designs of children playing summer activties, scenes of home and fall bouquets. I made this mini for a swap at Lil Scra of Heaven for the month of July. I used my two newly purchased stamp sets to embellish… Hot of the Press: Vintage Ladies and Crafty Secrets: Sweet Stuff.
Hope this puts you in the mood for fall, it does me. I am about done in with this heat and humidity. Enjoy your evening!

I just completed this mini using my winning mini album kit from Limor1278 on YouTube. I could not believe I actually won a giveaway!  The kit was filled with grungeboard, trinkets, trims and the beautiful Bo Bunny paper line Gabrielle. I just loved how the whole mini turned out. I tried to stick to items that came in the kit but I added a few things that went well like some handmade flowers and matching trim. I added a few close up pics of my favorite embellishments. Have a enjoyable weekend!

I made this mini for my baby’s 3rd birthday. I used Cosmo Cricket’s Little Boy line. It is full of beautiful vintage patterns and stripes. I used transparencies, journalling spots, scraps of leftover paper and tags. A sort of junk mini. Here is a picture of the front cover. Enjoy your week!

I entered my first swap over at myscraproom.ning. I made this mini for my swap partner Valerie. She chose Cosmo Crickets Material Girl. It is a beautiful line with dressforms, spools, stitching and scissors. The colors are retro and vibrant. The front and back cover was made using a collage technique found on YouTube by What You Make It.  I had a blast making the covers and I cannot wait to explore this new technique. Well, thats about it for now.

Well, here it is! I finally finished my handmade shadow box complete from cardstock, designer paper  and chipboard. This was my FIRST altered project ever, except for a canvas of course. I had loads of fun but what a relief that it is over. At times, I was worried I was going to have to tear it apart and start all over.

So, I am not going to bore you with every detail. Just going to give you the basics. I used all Graphic 45. Embellishments were the paper,Tatttered Angels glimmer chips, glimmer mist, handmade flowers, I AM ROSES, 7 Gypsies stamps and trims from the Jule Box. The technique I used for the box construction is by Kathy at Paper Phenomenon. She used it to create a shadow box mini album. What awesome ideas she comes up with. I put it together to make a full 12 X 12 box to hang in my kitchen. Lots of photos so I hope you enjoy and leave a comment if you like! Thanks.

First off I would like to give credit to whom it is due. Patti at Scappinings shared this beautiful template with me which she drew and then made a mini which was my source of  inspiration. You can watch her YouTube video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cs10kdCqa90 and visit her blog http://scrap-happinings.blogspot.com

This template is beautiful. I used some gorgeous K & CO paper (Specialty Handmade ) and then I raided my stash of laces, ribbon, flowers and all things vintage. I kept the embellishments simple as not to take away from the papers. I used a lot of flowers and made areas underneath to insert tags. I distressed all the tags and used images from the internet.

On this first page I used some Prima ribbon for the trim, Basic Grey pearl flourishes, Jolee’s Flourish Stickers and Tim Holtz Sprocket gears to which I added some bling.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

This last page I happen to be quite proud of.  I stamped and embossed with gold in a french script on the whole back so it would peek through the lacing on the back. I laid out where to punch the wholes and inserted black eyelets. I laced down the back with some ivory satin ribbon and tied a bow. Trimmed around the edges is a cream ribbon by Jolee’s. I finished off the back with a beautiful flower and tulle.

Thank you for stopping by and have a happy Wednesday!
