Like that bright yellow in the background? That is my new Lemon Zest ‘Dylusions’ spray. I had to try and make it work with the vintage theme somehow. I tried Tim’s marblized background but I only have one color distress stain, picket fence. I tried adding water to distress inks but my paper did not like it so well and tried to flake off. I then decided to spray to save myself some cardstock. I used a background stamp by Christy Tomlinson and then splattered some ‘Dylusions’ Turquoise’ over top. The rest I followed closely to Tim Holtz’s tag but with a few adjustments to suit my eye. I went with the lovely bright colors that remind me of the ocean. Also, the photo is from The Whatevers Challenge. A inspiration photo is given and then you take it and create your own story or sentence behind the photo. I don’t have a story but I chose my Red Rubber Designs sentiment because it is a sarcastic expression of my thoughts on this photo. I have always wondered why the victims of old time photos never smile. They all look like they have the worse life. Even wedding photographs are full of sad expressions. So the phrase ‘be happiness itself’ makes me chuckle a little. Well, thats about it for today.

Well, back then you had to pose very still for quite a while because the photography process was so slow. It was much easier to not smile than to try and hold a smile for that long.
….I do love the little caption you used! LOL and it tell’s a story on its own.
Lovely tag! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Beautiful tag!Gorgeous embellishments – just so perfect! Love that little bling too!
Totally awesome tag, Kate. I really LOVE it, especially after looking at the photo and your explanation of the sentiment line. I definitely had a chuckle – very clever! I think you BG came out awesome. I am really loving the yellow and turquoise color combo and it’s actually gotten me to crack open a bottle of the Dylusions spray. I wasn’t red hot about them at first because they are SO vibrant, but I am definitely coming around. You did an exceptional job on the tag working with so many challenges. So great to have you joining in the fun with us this fortnight at Frilly and Funkie.
Hugs,
Linda
I like the sentiment!
Such a beautiful tag, just love that Lemon Zest which goes so well with the blue. I think the poor little ones were bored senseless having to wait so long for the photo to be taken – wouldn’t you just love to go back for one day? Thanks for leaving a message on my blog. I truely love you blog – inspirational. Sx
